No, Farting is Not Natural, It’s an Indication of a Bad Diet

In the recent years, there seems to have been a trend in writing about poop, farting, and idiotic fecal microbiota transplants, and similar topics having to do with your rear end. Of course, the misinformation is almost as nauseating as a farting vegan, and the article we’re about to look at is no exception.

This article “why protein make you fart” is written by Cassie Shortsleeve and Perri O. Blumberg, two women with zero credentials who apparently write on a freelance basis for a couple of deadbeat magazines such as Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Runner’s World and Men’s Journal. Pseudo-science magazines at the level of tabloids.

The first sentence sets the tone, as they erroneous claim that, “farting is a fact of life.”
No, you dimwits. Farting is not natural and it’s definitely not healthy, just the exact opposite! Farting is a result of a fermentation process from eating unnatural non-species-specific foods such as carbohydrates (sugars) and fiber. Humans do not have the digestion system, fermentation chambers, nor a functional appendix for breaking down fiber, unlike ruminants, herbivores and apes. Yes, apes have a very large appendix, allowing them to be able to consume some plant material, although their main source of nutrition is from bugs and small animals.

So, if you fart, you are not eating according to your species-appropriate, species-specific natural diet. If you develop gas, your diet is damaging and toxic. And no, those following our species-appropriate, species-specific diet, as in carnivore, never fart. It’s one of the first thing many discover as they adopt the carnivore diet. The only time I passed a little gas as a carnivore was when I experimented with protein powders and/or went heavy on dairy, and we’ll get to that later. And as a dog owner, my dogs never fart as they are only fed their natural carnivorous diet. Only sick dogs being fed kibble (dry food) or other harmful and unnatural food stuffs fart. And if that is the case, that is animal abuse.

Then some “dietician” named Lori Walker is cited in the article, claiming that protein can cause digestive problems in some people, such as bloating, flatulence, and stomach pain. Nope, not protein in itself. Refined protein products such as protein powders or man-made dairy products can, but that is because of heating/pasteurization, added sugars, sweeteners, and other added chemicals. It’s not the protein in itself, it’s the other ingredients, including milk sugars such as lactose. And this was the reason why I experienced some of this several years ago when experimenting and trying to regain muscle mass after my severe illness in 2017 and 2018. And it’s also one of many reasons why I stick to meat and especially eggs if I need to boost my protein intake. However, the biggest reason is to avoid added chemicals that are unnatural, toxic and a huge stressor on the body.

Then the article continues with the alleged causes of “protein farts,” and here they quote Sameer Islam, MD, who claims that most animal proteins such as eggs, beef, pork, poultry, and fish contains sulfur which contributes to a nasty smell. Nope. Wrong again. First of all, carnivores do not fart, nor do they smell, as they are consuming what is natural for them. If someone has “sulfur-smelling farts,” it’s because they also consume a shit-ton of fiber and carbohydrates; unnatural food stuffs that clog you up and cause fermentation, causing chemical reactions with the sulfur content of said animal proteins. This should be a no-brainer, as again, those eating only animal-based foods does not consume anything that contribute to these reactions creating unnatural gas. Jeez, these people are totally clueless of simple physiology. It’s really saddening.

At least Sameer redeems himself a tiny bit by actually saying what I’ve said for years and years by explaining that, “in your protein shake, it’s not necessarily the protein—it’s usually the sugars that give you trouble. The additive sugars in a protein shake, like xylitol, mannitol, and fructose, will help the flavor but wreak havoc on your gut. That’s also a reason why sugarless gums, candy, and diet drinks can cause gas, bloating, and diarrhea, Dr. Islam says.”

Then they quote, Ryan Maciel, another ‘dietician’ based in Boston, “If you’re vegetarian or vegan, even plant-based sources of protein, such as beans, soy, and lentils, can cause digestive problems, thanks to short-chain carbohydrates called oligosaccharides that are fermented by the bacteria in your gut, says Ryan Maciel, R.D., C.S.C.S.

Those two quotes were probably the only two correct statements in the entire article. Well, at least that’s something in today’s extremely confused world of misinformation and pseudo-science.

Then they go on to “solutions” for “protein farts.” Here they claim that peppermint and ginger are effective tools to soothe your gut. Heck no! You do not ingest poison to slow down digestion and bowel movements just to lessen a symptom, you remove the underlaying problem, as in consuming toxic sugars and fiber. I’ve explained this in detail here:

Then they recommend “probiotic foods,” which pretty much is another scam as your ‘microbiome’ always adjust to what you eat. If you trash your gut with fiber and carbohydrates, the kind of bacteria that is needed to break down these toxic compounds will be dominant, although it’s futile as our digestive system is too short for that process, only causing unnecessary stress and damage. If you only consume animal-based foods, bacteria that is needed for nutrient absorption and conversion will be dominant. If you try to add bacteria that is not needed, you will only disrupt the balance of the microbiome for a while until it adapts again. Only if you add what you actually lack, you’ll feel a bit better, as in after taking antibiotics that virtually kills everything. But again, your microbiome adapts to what you eat, and that is why fecal microbiota transplants are a total lunacy.

From here the article turn to worse, as they suggest that you try to swap animal proteins for plant-based proteins. That might just be the most damaging and idiotic advice possible. Anything plant-based is virtually indigestible and extremely toxic. I’ve covered this ad nauseam.

So, to conclude, any kind of natural occurring animal-based protein does not make you fart. It’s physiological impossible. Only unnatural food, such as plant foods, will generate gas as we cannot digest it. This should be common sense. Unfortunately, it’s not, as pseudo-science and money still rules the media and educational systems, making most people into complete retards, just as the two authors of this reviewed article.
