I’m sorry for the repetition, but this nonsense about antioxidants and the misconceptions about inflammation is being pushed on us daily. Yesterday I covered the incredible toxic black seeds and how they interfere with the liver and the production of C-reactive protein and tumor necrosis factor-alpha which are crucial for detoxification and healing — all while the backwards and bought-and-paid-for pseudo-science refer to it as inflammation lowering, which they say is good, when in fact inflammation is the healing process, and interfering with the healing process means that your tissues will remain damaged, which is really bad.
And this takes us to the just as corrupt and backwards “sports science” where tissue damage from exercise is used to measure inflammation markers and what they suppose is “recovery” in the hunt to speed-up this process.
Of course, these dimwits are just as clueless of simple human physiology and biochemistry as the medical community and the food industry, or they simply follow the agenda and lie about everything.
In this 7-day crossover study, 15 physically active young men without apparent health conditions were deceived into consuming spinach or a “superfood” daily for 7 days while some researchers looked at “oxidative stress biomarkers” after they completed some silly “high-intensity exercise” on the 8th day.
Let’s see what Examine.com has summarized for us and how they once again show their complete ignorance.
Key study details
“The participants completed 3 conditions, each for for 7 days:
- 70 grams of raw spinach daily
- 10 grams of a superfood supplement (which contained various vitamins and minerals and polyunsaturated fatty acids) daily
- No intervention (the control)
The day after each condition, the participants performed three 30-second Wingate tests (4 minutes of rest between tests). Blood samples were collected before the intervention and 24 hours after the Wingate test. There was a 7-day washout period between the conditions.”
Spinach is one of the most toxic leafy greens in existence, battling it out with the curly-leafed cabbage known as kale for the top position. While kale is notorious for killing animals and poisoning humans, spinach is ranked second, just after strawberries, for being the most contaminated and pesticide ridden item in the world, with kale coming in at a close third.


Also, spinach contains a ton of oxalates which bind with calcium causing sharp crystals that will accumulate in soft tissues, joints, eyes, and especially in the kidneys, forming kidney stones. And of course, spinach contains a lot of phytochemicals such as polyphenols which are defense chemicals (not really antinutrients,) and will damage the liver and interfere with our detoxification and healing processes, as I have covered in multiple articles backed by real science.




As for the “superfood” that is extremely toxic as well, but at only 10 grams it will not cause as much damage as 70 grams of spinach.
So, simply from this, anyone with a brain should be able to predict that spinach will inhibit your healing, and thus inhibit recovery and show lowered inflammation and lowered “oxidative stress biomarkers”
“Interleukin 6 and malondialdehyde were lower (better) and superoxide dismutase activity was higher (better) in the spinach and superfood conditions than in the control condition.
Furthermore, the interleukin 6 level was lower and superoxide dismutase activity was higher in the spinach condition than the superfood condition.”
No, you stupid, stupid, imbeciles. Lower is not better unless you have actually healed, as in recovered.
Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a multifunctional cytokine that plays a significant role in the body’s detoxification and healing processes. IL-6 promotes the production of acute phase proteins in the liver. These proteins help to neutralize toxins, thereby supporting detoxification. In the initial stages of tissue damage from toxicity, IL-6 helps to initiate an inflammatory/healing response.
IL-6 has been shown to have regenerative properties in various tissues. For example, it can support the regeneration of neurons and glial cells in the central nervous system.
IL-6 can influence metabolic processes, which can indirectly support detoxification by ensuring that the body has the necessary energy and resources to manage toxins and repair tissues.
In other words, IL-6 is crucial for initiating both detoxification and repair of affected tissues.



Now, and this is common sense, adding spinach cannot aid in recovery, as it has no nutrients, as in animal fats, animal protein, and micronutrients needed for the healing process. Also, as these were physically active young men, they likely consumed more than enough food to be able to recover from three 30-second Wingate tests.

Spinach only contains a ton of defense chemicals, antinutrients and some vitamins and minerals that are stored in the wrong chemical forms and have to be converted by humans, which is a toxic and wasteful process, yielding very little in return. In other words, it’s a useless and extremely toxic plant. And as I pointed out earlier, those polyphenols will interfere with cytokines such as Interleukin-6, deceiving gullible idiots into believing that some toxins miraculously enhanced recovery and healing, which of course is totally impossible and stupid.
And as I explained yesterday, superoxide dismutase (SOD) is an enzyme that catalyzes the dismutation of the superoxide anion radical into normal molecular oxygen and hydrogen peroxide. This enzyme is crucial for protecting cells against the toxic products of aerobic respiration, as superoxide is produced as a by-product of oxygen metabolism and can cause various types of cell damage if not regulated.
SOD is triggered by the presence of superoxide radicals, which are formed during normal cellular metabolism and can also be generated during stress conditions or during severe healing where bacteria is necessary for cleaning up the mess, which some imbeciles call “an infection.”

In other words, an increase in superoxide dismutase activity simply proves that the subjects have been poisoned for 7 days by an acute increase in defense chemicals and that the body is under higher levels of stress than usual. That is not a good sign and it has nothing to do with “improved recovery” after something as ridiculous as three 30-second Wingate tests, which is simply pedaling at maximum speed for 30 seconds against a given resistance on a stationary bike. Pointless.
So, not only was the “exercise” way too insignificant to measure any recovery markers, which strengthens the fact that the blood samples clearly showed the toxic and very dangerous effects on blunting healing, as in recovery, from both consuming spinach and these toxic “superfoods,” which are simply pulverized toxic greens.
Examine.com’s take
“Similar results were reported in a study in which men supplemented with spinach for 14 days and then ran a half-marathon. These effects are likely due to spinach’s content of phytochemicals, which have antioxidant properties.”
You Examine imbeciles. Phytochemicals are defense chemicals. Antioxidants in plants are very chemically different from antioxidants in humans. They are not the same thing!
I’ve covered this many times. Antioxidants from plants, as in defense chemicals, are made to protect the plant, that means that they will cause harm to anyone who tries to consume the plant. Humans can only get antioxidants from consuming something that has stored them in the same chemical form as we store and use them ourselves, as in animal meat. Also, we produce our own antioxidants, just as plants and other animals do, especially when we run on our natural fat metabolism, as in being in ketosis. And these endogenous antioxidants are more than enough to protect us, even when not consuming anything.






Again, it’s clear that their pseudo-science is totally backwards, and/or that many of them simply lie about everything as part of their agenda to keep us dumbed-down and dependent on their system and solutions. Humans are obligate hyper carnivores. Thus, anything plant-based is toxic, which many of us have proven thousands of times. Very simple.
