One of the worst fitness-wannabe writers on the Internet, Matt Weik of Ironmagazine, recently brought up an interesting change to Testosterone labels. Let’s see what he had to say this time.
“Testosterone injections, pills, and creams typically used for TRT and HRT purposes come with some warnings on the label. You’ve probably noticed them if it’s something you use regularly. But recently, testosterone labels got an update.”
If you say so. However, outside of the U.S., if you get a prescription for testosterone, they will administer a dose every other week or even go with one-a-month injections, which are extremely useless as hormone levels will become extremely unstable and fluctuate all over the board. Most educated people who are in need of Testosterone Replacement Therapy or Hormone Replacement Therapy will get testosterone on their own and administer it themselves every other day to keep the levels stable at an optimal range.

“Being that I don’t use TRT, this news came somewhat as a shock to me, but the FDA just removed the long-standing warning about heart attacks and strokes. Yup. The warning label is totally gone. Instead, a new warning about increased blood pressure is now required.”
It came as a shock? Why? Don’t you understand simple physiology and biochemistry, Matt?
Well, of course you don’t, you’ve proven that in every single article you’ve ever written.
With that said, the new warning about blood pressure is also mostly bollocks.
“In this article, we’re going to dive deeper into this change, why it happened, the new blood pressure warning that no one saw coming, and what all of this means for you (if you’re a testosterone user).”
Dive deeper, eh? I sincerely doubt that, as you Matt, lack that knowledge and understanding of the subject. Well, of any subject to be honest.
Why the Change to Testosterone Labels?
“This update from the FDA comes after the TRAVERSE clinical trial, which looked at the cardiovascular risks of testosterone therapy.
The study found that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) didn’t increase the risk of major heart-related events compared to a placebo. That was enough for the FDA to remove the boxed warning about heart attacks, strokes, and cardiovascular death from testosterone labels.”
Is this what you call “dive deeper,” Matt? Reciting the abstract of a clinical trial?
Of course there will be no ill-effects of simply increasing testosterone within the natural range, as in actually restoring testosterone levels to where they should be if the person would be following their proper human diet and not have damaged their body. If someone gets a side-effect that can be isolated to the testosterone injection, it is either from the quick change and the body adjusting to higher and normal testosterone levels, or it is from the ester and/or the carrier oil as in the breakdown and neutralizing action of these.
You can only get real “side-effects,” as in increased risk of damage/disease, if you go above what is naturally possible, as into unnaturally high levels which are seen in those abusing drugs, as in athletes or people doing “anabolic steroid cycles” to gain muscle and/or strength.

Anything that is above what the body could naturally produce on its own is potentially damaging as it will put stress on the body. That is common sense.
However, TRT or HRT is simply about restoring hormone levels to where they once were when you were younger — or to put the levels at an optimal level for health and performance that is still very natural and seen in a large part of the healthy population.
Natural testosterone levels in healthy men typically range from about 400 to 900 nanograms per deciliter (ng/dL) of blood, with an average level of around 679 ng/dL. The higher natural limits for testosterone in men are generally considered to be around 1,000 to 1,100 ng/dL.
Because most men are extremely unhealthy, some doctors and laboratories consider levels as low as 264 ng/dL to be normal, which is criminally wrong.
Ideally, you should be above 600 ng/dL and closer to 1000 ng/dL to feel and perform your best.

Any TRT protocol for testosterone is tailored to keep testosterone levels within the range of 400 to 700 ng/dL with some going closer to 800 to 1000 ng/dL, which is still very much within natural limits (below 1,100 ng/dL.)
Achieving 1,000 to 1,100 ng/dL would require 250 to 300 mg of testosterone a week, preferably spread out in daily or every-other-day injections. However, a very potent and energy-boosting level of around 800 ng/dL will only require about 200 to 240 mg a week. Compare that to elite bodybuilders, powerlifters, or strongmen who can take anywhere from 1,000 to 3,000 mg a week! Actually, there have been a few pro-bodybuilders going close to, or even above 5,000 mg a week, and that is from a heavy combination of several very harsh drugs and compounds. That is 22-times the usual TRT dosage! Insanity!
“But there’s a catch. The FDA still wants age-related hypogonadism (low testosterone due to aging) to remain listed as a “limitation of use.”
So, while the heart risk warning is gone, restrictions on who should be using TRT are still in place.”
Likely because they know it’s mostly bollocks. Testosterone does not decline that much by age, it declines because of abuse, of wear-and-tear on your body, especially from a shitty diet and exposure to a lot of toxins.
Also, what the “science establishment” calls “age related issues” are simply changes to the body that occur due to wear and tear, and especially from damage due to a bad diet and toxic exposure. That is not “age related,” that is “time under exposure” related. Thus, someone following our natural carnivore diet and avoiding unnecessary toxic exposure at 70-years-old can be a lot healthier and have better testosterone levels than someone at 30-years-old being vegan or similar.

When I was younger, my testosterone levels were in the range of 600 to 700 ng/dL, then when I got tumors and were close to multiple organ failures in January of 2018, they dropped below 150 ng/dL. However, after healing and recovering with our species-specific natural diet and some dry fasting, my levels quickly recovered. And in 2024, after being a carnivore since February of 2018, they were at 800 ng/dL at the age of 50-years-old.
I know several men in their 60’s who have been animal-based or carnivores for a long time and their testosterone levels are around 600 to 700 ng/dL — while most other men at the same age who are on a shitty plant-based and processed diet have levels around or even below 200 ng/dL.
What the TRAVERSE Trial Found
“The TRAVERSE trial was designed to settle the debate on testosterone’s heart risks. The study focused on men with low testosterone and either existing heart disease or a high risk for it. The results? Testosterone therapy was non-inferior to a placebo when it came to major cardiac events.
In plain English, that means TRT didn’t increase heart attack or stroke risks compared to men not using it.”
Yes, I already told you this. As long as you keep your testosterone levels within normal physiological ranges, preferably closer to the higher limits, there cannot be any problems, as that is what our body is designed for, and where it will work optimally.
Heart attacks, strokes, and cardiovascular diseases are the result of your diet, especially carbohydrates and seed/vegetable oils, as in all plant-based unsaturated fats. I’ve covered this in depth many times and it’s very basic physiology and biochemistry.

Of course, with that being said, testosterone has many effects on the body and it does interact with the central nervous system, making you stronger, more alert, quicker, and so on. This effect also influences the heart through the autonomic nervous system. This is as it should be and totally harmless as long as testosterone levels are within normal physiological levels. However, unnaturally high levels of testosterone can lead to an increase in heart rate, as it can activate the sympathetic nervous system (SNS,) which is responsible for the “fight or flight” response.
In other words, those abusing testosterone and achieving levels above what is naturally possible will put their bodies in a continuous alarmed state of fight or flight with an elevated heart rate, and that will take its toll on the heart and the cardiovascular system. Again, common sense.

It’s even worse than those abusing caffeine or poisoning themselves several times a day with plant-based meals or man-made supplements or drugs, as those moments of fight or flight are only during the day. Unnatural high levels of testosterone from anabolic steroid abuse will have you in a stressed state around the clock, as in the whole day and also while you sleep.
“Over a 33-month period, 7% of men on TRT experienced a major cardiovascular event, compared to 7.3% of those taking a placebo. The numbers were so close that the FDA felt confident removing the boxed warning.”
33 months, eh? Well, unless those on TRT suddenly began to eat even worse food than they did before, there should be no increase in cardiovascular events. And this study actually showed a minor decrease while being on TRT. Perhaps a few of them actually began to eat more meat, which saved their lives.
The New Blood Pressure Warning on Testosterone Labels
“The FDA didn’t just remove a warning — they added a new one. Studies show that testosterone therapy can lead to increased blood pressure. Because of this, the FDA now requires product-specific details about blood pressure changes on testosterone labels. If a product hasn’t yet completed blood pressure testing, a general warning must still be added.”
No, it cannot, not unless you take too much and exceed your natural levels threshold. However, if the TRT makes you more active and hungry, and you’ll opt for plant-based and/or processed foods to fill that gap, that will increase blood pressure and severely damage your health. Considering that most people have no clue about human nutrition, that is probably what this is based on.

The Blood Pressure Concerns Aren’t New
“The FDA has been monitoring blood pressure concerns with testosterone for years.
Between 2016 and 2017, they reviewed premarket studies on new testosterone products, including injections and oral formulations. These studies flagged potential blood pressure increases, prompting the FDA to require postmarket testing by 2018.”
Injectables cannot do this unless you take too much for TRT. And orals have to go through your liver which causes some damage and there might be a lot of toxic spill that might interfere with some metabolic processes, but at low doses it’s not likely to affect the heart. With that said, orals are a very poor option for TRT and should always be avoided.

What the Change to Testosterone Labels Means for Test Users
“If you’re on TRT, this change removes a major red flag from the label but adds a new concern that you need to be made aware of.
While the risk of heart attacks and strokes isn’t as alarming as once thought, users still need to monitor their blood pressure. High blood pressure is a serious issue (they don’t call it the “silent killer” for nothing), especially for those already at risk of cardiovascular disease.”
Again, high blood pressure on TRT is due to a very poor diet. Remove carbohydrates and all processed foods, and especially plant-based toxic crap such as seed/vegetable oils, grains, nuts, seeds, legumes, cruciferous veggies, and left greens and you’ll be fine. Even better, remove everything plant-based and processed! If you adopt our natural species-specific human diet of animal-based foods, your body will heal and you will likely not have to be on TRT after a year or so, a win-win for your health and also a win for your wallet.
