The medical-, pharmaceutical-, and food industry shills at the atrocious Science Daily recently posted an article about what they call is a “new discovery,” as their headline reads as “Biologists discover ancient neurohormone that controls appetite.”
Well, let’s see what this is really about and how they once again twist everything to fit their narratives and agendas. Did they really discover an “ancient neurohormone that controls appetite?”
“Scientists have discovered that bombesin, a neurohormone controlling appetite in humans, also regulates feeding in starfish, revealing its ancient evolutionary origin dating back over 500 million years.”
Bombesin was first isolated from the skin of the European fire-bellied toad (Bombina bombina) in 1971. It was named after its source. The connection of bombesin to appetite was discovered shortly afterwards, in the early 70’s. Research indicates that bombesin’s effects on appetite regulation are likely mediated via neural rather than humoral routes, meaning it acts through neural pathways rather than circulating hormones.
Bombesin, a 14-amino acid peptide, is naturally produced in the brain and the gut. When injected into mammals, it was found to act as a satiety agent through neural pathways, reducing meal size and increasing the time between meals. This led scientists to believe that bombesin-like neurohormones are part of the body’s natural system for controlling food intake.
In other words, these “scientists” that Science Daily referred to in their “breaking” headline did not find out anything new about bombesin’s actual properties or functionality, the team of imbeciles simply discovered that bombesin is also produced in starfish, and from that, they drew the juvenile conclusion that bombesin has an “ancient evolutionary origin dating back over 500 million years.”
That discovery about starfish or “sea stars” is totally irrelevant unless you like to study marine invertebrates that belong to the class Asteroidea in the phylum Echinodermat. And even if you’re slow-witted and believe in evolutionary theory, yes a theory, it has absolutely no meaning or impact when it comes to biology, physiology or biochemistry as practiced here and now. The compound, being a 14-amino acid peptide, has already been identified as an regulator of appetite through its interaction with specific receptors in the brain and its effects on gastrointestinal hormone release and pancreatic enzyme secretion.

“Bombesin, a small peptide, plays a key role in regulating hunger by signalling when we’ve had enough to eat. But its story doesn’t start with humans or even mammals. New research shows that bombesin-like neurohormones have been controlling appetite in animals since long before the first vertebrates evolved on Earth.”
Yes, as it regulates gastrointestinal hormone release and pancreatic enzyme secretion, it makes sure we do not consume more food than we can handle, as in consuming more than our digestive system is capable of processing.

And again, this “new research” is simply a discovery of bombesin in starfish. The rest is theoretical and also completely irrelevant. However, I guess the angle here is to make it sound like bombesin is ancient and thus very natural and safe as it has been part of our theoretical “evolutionary history” since “the dawn of time,” and thus the sleeping masses will not bat an eye when you try to synthesize it and sell it as an appetite regulator and weight-loss drug, yes?
It will be much easier to sell and market it as safe as it is an “ancient natural appetite-suppressing hormone” found even before vertebrates “evolved” on Earth.
“You may be wondering why bombesin has such a strange name? It has nothing to do with exploding devices! The name comes from the fire-bellied toad (Bombina bombina), from whose skin the peptide was first isolated in 1971. When injected into mammals, bombesin was found to reduce meal size and increase the time between meals. This led scientists to believe that bombesin-like neurohormones, produced in the brain and gut, are part of the body’s natural system for controlling food intake. Furthermore, alongside weight-loss inducing drugs such as Ozempic, compounds that mimic the action of bombesin are in development for treatment of obesity.”
Bam! There you go. Bombesin-like compounds are in development for treatment of obesity. And that is extremely irresponsible, dangerous and evil.
Keep in mind that anything that reduces or blocks appetite and cravings will make you eat less; not only smaller meals, but less frequently. This might sound like a good thing for most people. However, the reason you get hungry or get cravings in the first place is because you are malnourished! Yes, you might eat all day long, but if what you eat is plant-based and/or processed, it will not contain any bioavailable nutrition. You will be overfed but undernourished.

Humans are obligate hyper carnivores and we can only get bioavailable and bioactive nutrients from animal-based foods. Anything plant-based requires conversion which is very low yield and also very toxic, causing you to quickly develop nutrient deficiencies, hence the increase in appetite, the ability to eat more and larger meals, and the occasional hunger pangs and cravings.

By taking drugs, supplements or anything else that lower appetite and/or make you satiated much faster, you restrict the minimal nutrition you get even more, causing any nutrient deficiencies to get even worse. The only way to fix the root problem is to change the diet, to adopt our natural human and species-appropriate diet that will actually nourish us.
This will remove any hunger and craving sensations within a few weeks. As soon as your body has the nutrients it needs, appetite will be normalized and you will be unable to eat as much or as frequently as you previously did. No stupid drugs or supplements needed. Just fix the real problem, that of the diet!

“The team then turned their attention to the function of this starfish bombesin, named ArBN. Using mass spectrometry, collaborators at the University of Warwick determined the molecular structure of ArBN, allowing it to be chemically synthesised and tested.
Dr Weiling Huang, a former PhD student in the Elphick lab and lead author of the study, investigated how ArBN affects starfish feeding behaviour. Starfish have a unique way of eating: they evert their stomach out of their mouth to digest prey like mussels and oysters.”
So what? Why even bother as we already know that bombesin affects the stomach and the digestive system. And if bombesin is found in starfish, it will do the same — simply pulling the stomach back and the starfish will stop feeding.
“When I tested ArBN, I saw that it caused contraction of the starfish stomach, explained Dr Huang. This suggested that ArBN might be involved in stimulating stomach retraction when starfish stop feeding. And this is exactly what I found. When I injected ArBN into starfish with their stomachs everted, it triggered the stomach to retract back into the mouth. What’s more, ArBN also delayed the initiation of feeding, as starfish injected with ArBN took longer to enclose a mussel compared to those injected with water.”
Yes, that’s what I said above. A totally meaningless “discovery” in the scope of bombesin and biology, as we already knew what would happen as we understand the properties and actions of bombesin.
“The discovery of bombesin’s ancient role in appetite regulation sheds light on the evolutionary origins of feeding behaviour in animals. We can infer that this function extends back half-a-billion years to the common ancestor of starfish, humans, and other vertebrates, said Professor Elphick.”
Again, theoretical speculation and totally irrelevant. The basis for your speculation is that some imbeciles believe that starfish are ancient because “fossil records” for starfish date back to the Ordovician period, around 450 million years ago according to the Freemasonic puppets who did the testing. Also, all agendas aside, fossil dating methods are extremely inaccurate and most results are simply rounded-off to fit the predetermined fake timeline. Two tests on the same thing can vary widely, from a few thousand years to several hundred thousand. And when we speak of “million of years,” well, that’s just ridiculous… But more importantly, it’s irrelevant.
“In addition to development of novel weight-loss promoting drugs, the findings of this study could have other practical applications. One of the consequences of climate change is that some starfish species are invading cooler waters where shellfish are cultivated for human consumption, Professor Elphick added. Discovering molecules that inhibit feeding in starfish could be useful in managing these invasions.”
And there we go again with the weight-loss and then they bring up the silly climate change hoax. There is no such thing as man-made climate change, you retards. The climate is always slowly changing in cycles as the magnetic north shifts. This cycle spans about 26,000 years and is then repeated again, ad infinitum. In about 2,100 years, a new ice age will begin and it will cover most of our part of the Earth in 11,000 years from now, then it will slowly move on again as the magnetic north continues to shift and in 26,000 years from now, the climate will be exactly the same as it is today. Vibes of Cosmons did an excellent presentation of this a few years ago.
“This research not only deepens our understanding of the evolutionary history of neurohormones but also highlights the unexpected connections between humans and the strange, stomach-everting world of starfish.”
History is whatever the elites agreed upon. It’s not “evolutionary history,” it’s evolutionary theory. And many animals in nature will share the same type of hormones, or slight variations of them, depending on their physiology and other interconnected mechanisms as a universal way to support life.
What is important is to understand that every single species has their own species-specific and species-appropriate diet and if a species deviates from that diet, damage will occur that will manifest as disease. This is what plagues the human race as we have been deceived into consuming plant-based crap and even worse, man-made processed garbage.

The only way to be healthy and live as long as possible is by adopting our natural human diet, and by doing so, all this about drugs, supplements, treatments, and so on becomes totally irrelevant as the body will be able to heal and correct itself. That is the most valuable hidden truth there is, and they will do anything to protect it so they can sell you stupid stuff, such as bombesin-like appetite-suppressant supplements.
