One of the trending stories on April 27th was that of the former Cincinnati mayor and long time TV host Jerry Springer, who died at 79-years old, allegedly after a bout with pancreatic cancer.

Jerry was most known as one of the pioneers of the awful, profane, and embarrassing genre of confrontational daytime television, aka., ‘trash TV,’ often recorded “live” with crisis actors acting as couples staging rehearsed physical confrontations.
I remember seeing a few clips from an episode in 1992 when I was 18-years old and I immediately commented to my friends that the people on the show was coached and that everything was staged and so utterly obvious, stupid and embarrassing. After 10 minutes we went outside and did some martial arts training instead, and I never watched that pile of garbage again, as with most TV shows actually.
However, Jerry was also the 56th mayor of Cincinnati, and we know all about the number 56 and why he ‘died’ at 79, as it’s all in the numbers.
