During the last two weeks I’ve been eating completely freely, as in how many meals and how much I want — and only from animal-based species-appropriate foods of course. I did this to prove a simple point, that it is almost impossible to gain body fat if you only consume species-appropriate foods to satiation and not force feed yourself. And sure enough, after two weeks of eating more than previous on most days, my bodyweight is almost the same (+0.4kg/0.88lbs) and my body fat is actually down a little bit, from the previous 5.06% to 4.93%. How about that?! Again, silly things like man-made “calories,” a concept of physics, and the silly arguments of “thermodynamics” do not have any relevance in the human body, as our body extracts nutrients and converts them to chemical energy, not heat energy (as in calories/thermodynamics.) What actually matters is the nutrients themselves, their bioavailability and chemical form (as in a bioactive fully organic form derived from animals) and the composition of the food, as in food synergy, and the chemical and hormonal response it invokes in our bodies. If you’re a dietitian, nutritionist or coach and do not understand these basic things about human physiology and biochemistry, or that humans are obligate hyper carnivores, please stop everything you are doing and start studying or do something completely different or you will do great harm to your clients.

With that said, I will continue with my physical-experiment journey at a young 51-years old. As I prioritize my legs and glutes, I will try to force feed myself on those training days, eating way more than I find comfortable, including dairy and some extra 89%+ pure animal-based protein powder. Then, on other training days I will have my three meals to satiation and on rest-days I will have only one small and very nutrient-dense meal (50g raw liver, a few raw eggs and a little bit of fatty red meat) to stimulate the use of body fat as fuel — just as I’ve had during most of my “fat loss journey.” We’ll see in a few months if I’ve gained weight, remained stable and perhaps added some muscle to my legs, and if I actually will lose even more body fat.
Now, I will likely aim for getting even more shredded, as I still feel 100% and it is so ridiculously easy when you’re following our natural species-appropriate diet. And of course, I still want to show what is possible and that it is easy to maintain a ridiculously lean physique if you are fully nourished.
Also, I do have about two millimeters of thickness to lose in my mid- and lower back, and I would like to bring my umbilical close to 3 mm, which would surpass my previous best 3,6 mm at 34-years of age.

And with that being said, I’ve worked a lot more this past month than I’ve done since I got sick in 2017. As most of you know, I still suffer from mental fatigue due to the brainstem tumor back in 2017 and early 2018 before I reversed it with our natural diet and fasting. A few years back I could only work a few hours a day, but as of October, due to the discount on my services, I’ve been working 6 to 8 hours a day, 6 to 7 days a week — and I actually feel fine, as in better than ever, “despite” my low body fat and “dieting” since July.
And as a note, the personalization of each coaching guide I write takes at least two days to complete as I address any health problems and ailments, their root cause and the solution, including strategies for the client’s health and physical goals with meal planning and meal recipes. In fact, each guide spans from 55 to 65 pages, a far cry from a simple spreadsheet you get from most “online coaches” who can’t even explain the rationale behind their planning, their programs or choice of food items. They simply repeat the same crap they learned from someone else without understanding one bit of human physiology and biochemistry.
And thanks to this little upswing and my newfound energy, being able to work at least 6 hours a day, 2025 might be the first year that I break even since I got sick in 2017. Yes, I’ve continuously lost money (savings) for more than 7 years straight (a loss of about 1,340,000 SEK or 123,000 Euro or $142,000 USD,) as I’ve only been able to work a few hours a day since 2022 (five years without any income whatsoever and three years with a few $1000 from clients and donations here and there,) and that does not cover all monthly expenses by a long shot.
And with that said, I’m also working on a new website dedicated to our natural species appropriate diet and my services, which means that this website [bartoll.se] will be my “public figure” personal website with all my work in all the fields I dabble in. So, no real changes to this website, only the addition of a new more specialized one, a true business website. And of course, I also try to get a few hours here and there to work on my latest book, to hopefully be released before the end of the year.
So, I do not really have any full physique pictures this time, as I’ve been focused on work and simply eating enough — and I’ve been to the gym on an average of five 30 minutes sessions a week. All I have are a few random pictures I took this past weekend. With that said, you can see that I’m still as lean and ripped as two weeks ago, and my caliper readings I had taken this Sunday confirms it — and perhaps, with a weight increase of 0.4 kg, I’m a tiny bit fuller due to glycogen compensation through elevated gluconeogenesis (as I have not depleted myself with “low days” or fasting.)

One of the most common questions I get on social media is why I do not compete in the grand masters (50+) class in bodybuilding. First of all, I’m too small to be competitive. I might look big at the gym with a muscle pump and veins popping and in photos due to my tiny joints, but standing beside other bodybuilders in my weight class I’ll look tiny. While I have the advantage of conditioning, vascularity and muscle separation, I would need at least another 6 to 7 kg of pure muscle mass, which is not possible without the use of performance enhancing drugs such as anabolic steroids and growth hormone — and I have no interest in that as long as my body produces these hormones at a level of a 30-year old as it currently does. Also, considering the atrocious low price money and the costs of competing licenses, registration costs, travelling, and so on, it’s not worth the hassle. And most importantly, it does not really appeal to me, although I’ve worked within the bodybuilding- and fitness industry for almost 30 years. Competing is not for me, I simply love helping people achieve their goals and fix their health problems and make them thrive. That is my passion. So instead of exposing myself on a stage, I see my body as a marketing tool — proof that I walk the talk unlike most so-called experts who think they are fat-loss experts because they can see their blurry abs and a tiny vein on their sausage-shaped arms at 14% body fat.

And yes, I’m pulling my shoulders back a bit in the first photo, pushing my chest out (likely to try and make my stomach look smaller, lol.)

So, there. I simply do this physique journey to show what is possible when you literally destroyed your body at 43-years of age, recovered by following our natural species-appropriate diet and now is past 50-years of age and better than ever — while making a point that the level of body fat is irrelevant as long as you are fully nourished. If you feel like shit during a diet, it is because your approach and diet is shit. You’re starving yourself with worthless toxic and nutritionally poor “diet foods,” creating nutrient deficiencies and toxic accumulation which slows down your metabolism and wrecks your hormones. Doing it my way circumvents all this — and reaching whatever level of leanness you desire is effortless, simple, and you’ll feel like a million bucks while doing it.
